The experience was amazing. Gonzalo is an excellent instructor—attentive, adaptable, and ready to tailor the training to your needs. Beyond that, he’s a wonderful person and very friendly. Highly recommended!

Had a great day with Mira! He is enthusiastic about surfing and is a great teacher. I have surfed before but his beginner class was a good refresher.

Ericieria Local is an amazing surf school! You can really see how Goncalo and his team are passionate about surfing. The lessons are kept small (one day it was just my partner and I!) and they give you support and attention where needed based on your ability, and will always push you to improve! It was my partner's first time surfing and Goncalo made sure she was relaxed and confident in the water throughout. The lessons were the most fun we had all week, and he even gave us a ride in his van after the lesson to our AirBnB which was near his house. Cannot recommend Ericeira Local enough! 10/10 will be visiting again soon :).

Gonçalo was an amazing surf teacher. Very patient with my surf-beginner girlfriend. He takes his time and is there in the water for you, not to go surfing himself (which is unfortunately happening way too often in less amazing surf schools). We will for sure come back next year.

After a disappointing experience with another surf school, I decided to give surfing another shot with Gonçalo - and it was absolutely worth it! Gonçalo is not just a surf instructor, he is a true teacher! We had a small group, which allowed him to pay attention to each student and provide valuable feedback to us. In the ocean, Gonçalo explained our strengths and weaknesses, enabling us to focus on specific areas of improvement. Despite challenging weather conditions, I enjoyed my surfing experience and noticed significant progress in my skills. If I ever come back to Ericeira, I would go to him again!
